Bio
David Hasegawa, MBA, PMP, CTP
I played in the band and worked as a sound engineer at Clayton Community Church during Michael's tenure as Director of the Arts. He is able to communicate his passion for excellence and to motivate the members of his team toward excellence. He has the ability to understand the larger workings running an organization, the artistic minutiae of a performance, and how to coach and work on an individual level with his musicians.

Oct 2012 - Present
It's great to be part of the dynamic staff at the Harrisburg Symphony. My proudest accomplishment so far was to advocate for and lead a complete revamp of the HSO's budgeting process. The new process is more inclusive of the various functional departments and board committees, and becoming more so with each cycle. The process better identifies the strategic challenges issues that the board must decide on, and in a far more timely manner, driving long-range planning and strategic thinking. Most important of all, the budget has become a true planning document that enjoys a greater sense of ownership on the part of staff and board. Improved and streamlined financial statements make it more digestible for the many stakeholders.I transitioned the HSO to a self-insurance program for unemployment compensation saving the organization tens of thousands of dollars annually. In addition I have saved additional thousands through streamlining other financial functions.I am a regular member of the finance, audit and investment committees, and regular participant in education, develop and various special project teams. I present reports and participate in discussions at board meetings. Currently an appointed to a team of staff members working to improve collaboration among the HSO staff through improved business practices and deployment of technology.
