MengYa is the winner project of the 2014-2015 LSE entrepreneurial competition (out of 100+ entries), and was provided funding, legal services and consulting supports from LSE. MengYa is a study-abroad programme provider that engages social science with the public through reinvented fieldwork experience. With field sites in UK and China, MengYa builds a community of young scholars across all social science disciplines to transform "education-with-practice" with field-immersion and seminar based curriculum. It is dedicated to empowering the public with the most relevant knowledge and skills to address local, regional and global issues matter to them, and generates culturally competitive and socially responsible global leaders of the next generation. As a co-founder and director, I managed the preparation and operations of educational field trip programmes, which involved planning itinerary, organising participants and activities, budgeting, negotiating with suppliers and partners on the trip, and ensuring safety and security of the participants. During my time at MengYa, I established sound relationships with the following parties to provide meaningful learning experiences for the field trip participants: Shanghai Jiaotong University, China Academy of Sciences, Artisan Studios, Chongzuo National Natural Reserve Bureau and Shikumen Family Museum.
