Sharon is a consummate professional who not only brings her considerable marketing & communications expertise to projects but does so with a passion and humility that positions her as a role model in public health service. Our collaborative effort to host virtual listening sessions with people in public housing to discuss unmet health needs was a success in large part to the patience, leadership, and thoughtfulness Sharon brought to both the sessions and analysis. It was truly a joy to work and learn alongside her--any team or organization would be very lucky to have her.

Sharon's proactive stance to ensure committee projects are well-organized has been invaluable to our group. Her communication regarding policies and procedures with the committees and the team has been very professional and concise. She is a tremendous asset within the agency for creating a project schedule with listed milestones and due dates to ensure that the program is successful from initiation to completion of assigned projects.

Developed and launched a unique, upscale kids resale store as a new community resource for families in North Austin. The store featured children's clothing, equipment, eco-friendly gifts and toys plus maternity wear in a modern boutique located at a busy shopping center at a major commercial intersection. Since opening in February 2011 the store grew quickly with over 600 consignor-suppliers and 90,500 items processed. Consignments gave hundreds of families the chance to earn money through recycling their gently used goods. Little Green Beans was a For-Benefit Business and member of Austin Gives and changemytown.org, created to help our local Austin community, including 5 non-profits through regular, targeted outreach and in-kind donations of thousands of goods annually. Since opening, the store was featured and mentioned 15 times in the media, including Inc. Magazine twice, on six local broadcast news programs and was written about in nine local newspaper articles and Austin Woman magazine. The store was featured in SCORE's Austin Success Stories pamphlet (2012) and website and I was an entrepreneur panelist for the Texas Women in Business Conference (August 2012). The store was a finalist in the 2012 and 2013 Austin Birth Awards. I closed the store-on January 15, 2014 so that I could focus on another professional opportunity in the field of marketing research.
