I volunteered at the local Chick-fil-A restaurant for a fundraiser to raise money for the RMHS drumline's uniforms, trips to competitions, and necessary equipment to continue making music. I worked the full fundraiser (3 hrs) and alone raised nearly $40.00 in tips, which all went to the fundraiser. I worked very hard and diligently the entire time with only one 15 min. break. I was easy to get along with and had a wonderful attitude the entire time. Eventually I decided to apply at the Chick-fil-A in the mall and got hired! I was employed here for seven months. My employer was Mr. David Langston. He hired me at the age of 15 years old. I enjoyed this job because it kept me moving, alert, prepared, and always learning new things. In addition to constantly multi-tasking, this job brought out the best in me because I always had to smile, stay engaged, make eye contact, and speak well and enthusiastically. I was also required to take care of the ALL customer’s needs, which I do to a ‘tee’; whether its carrying a tray to their table or if it is handing them some ketchup. During my time of employment, the Chick-fil-A of Golden East Crossing Mall earned one of the biggest awards in the “CfA world”, due to a 14% increase in sales for that year. All in all, this job was great and I loved it! I resigned in February 2012 to focus on my school work and additional extra-curricular activities.
