March 2012 Redmond, WA. To Whom It May Concern: In my role as Sr. Technical Program Manager at Microsoft, I was tasked with leveraging Enterprise level Data Mart for Business reporting capabilities. The project budget was approximately $3 million and consisted of over 15 developers both on-shore & off-shore with a duration of twenty four months. Sandy quickly emerged as a leader among her peer group. She was highly successful in her role as Program Manager driving all our UAT test efforts. Excellent communication and leadership skills created a highly functional team who accomplished a tremendous amount of quality work in very short timelines. Her experience and expertise was instrumental to the successful completion of very difficult tasks. I depended on her for managing/coaching the QA test team, driving entire UAT efforts, her communication skills as well as strategy and vision creation. The project had a large impact to the business. Therefore, there was pressure from multiple stakeholders to implement quickly. Her ability to deep dive into anomalies, perform root cause analysis then meet with the developers to quickly implement the necessary code fixes which allowed the QA teams to quickly run regression and end to end testing. Her efforts enabled the team’s cadence to deliver consistently on-time. Sandy has the ability to transition from a technical role to a management role where appropriate. The skill to "bridge the gap" between the technical and the functional make her an excellent facilitator between IT and the business. Rarely does a person possess this exceptional talent. Overall, Sandy was a tremendous contributor to the success of the Business Enterprise Reporting Services. She successfully completes work either through individual effort or through the leadership of others.
