• Audited weekly narcotic usage by nurses, and other healthcare providers in operating rooms and procedure labs throughout the hospital by analyzing Powerchart and utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint in an effort to decrease diversion of controlled substances • Performed clostridium difficile data collection on 60 patients over the course of 2019 in an effort to promote policy changes within the hospital and improve patient outcomes. The data is currently being used for a more extensive research project between the University at Buffalo and Kaleida Health to analyze weather patients could benefit from vancomycin prophylaxis while on concurrent antibiotics • Performed Remdesivir data collection on patients who received the medication during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the medication was being properly utilized and to promote policy changes within the hospital in regards to monitoring the medication. Data proved that labor intensive blood pressure monitoring was not warranted and the policy was changed • Counseled 15-20 individual hospital patients daily on anticoagulation management; included dosing, adverse effects, diet restrictions, lab work, drug interactions and cost management • Prepared patient specific medications intended for intravenous delivery using sterile technique • Trained and mentored 8 Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students on a new operations rotation to increase basic inpatient pharmacy knowledge Show less

• Updated the WinAUIC software to include newer antibiotics as well as Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors for oncology. This software uses patient specific criteria to pick and dose medications • Created models utilizing Microsoft Excel to track mass balances in lab procedures in order to account for all chemicals and waste in the lab.
