At Oasis Petroleum I characterized the Middle Bakken and First Bench through Rate Transient Analysis (RTA). The study objective was to identify relationships between reservoir characterization and project area performance. All of my results were compiled into an organized database including completion and reserves data for the purpose of additional comparisons. This process provided me with a better understanding of RTA and how to characterize permeability and fracture half-length in different parts of the Bakken. I also worked extensively with SpotFire and IHS Harmony. Show less

Reservoir Engineering Intern - Mid-Continent Hugoton South RMT

I worked with the Mid-Continent Hugoton South RMT on the development of primary and secondary recovery of the Wilson Channel in Texas County Oklahoma. My project included evaluating different development alternatives in the channel and forecasting waterflood productivity. As a result of the project, my team and I submitted the most economic development plan to Hugoton management. More importantly, approval was granted and OXY will be moving forward in the development of the Wilson channel by drilling an additional 10 infill wells and implementing secondary recovery after prolonged primary production of the unit.
