Having worked with Chad at Ancor was a great asset and privilege. His attention to detail and implementation of best practices was something I strived for. His coding and work ethics spoke for themselves, but what made Chad stand out from the others was his well roundedness in all aspects of technology, from networking to personal computing to all aspects of programming from web based to handhelds. These are only some of the reason I give Chad my highest recommendation.
Chuck Reaume
Skilled programmer with excellent problem-solving skills.

Digital Marketing / Enterprise Lead Management Myself and another engineer worked directly with the CTO to migrate a traditional n-tier solution into cloud-native microservices. At the time this solution was responsible for approximately 40% of company revenue. We did this in four months and even achieved some of our stretch goals. We then applied those learnings to five more customer solutions. It was an intense time and I learned a lot. Wealth Management - Refactored the online public prospectus to resolve caching issues. Dozens of stored procedures and UDFs processing years of data across every financial product (to return results to customers in real time) was challenging to test and verify. I received a nice letter from the owner and a bonus three months into my employment. - Optimized several nightly batch processes in SQL Server, as some were taking over a day to complete. When I was done the longest took only six hours, but most were in the 2-3 hour range. - Managed an important data analysis task with a very tight deadline. A federal agency requested answers to big questions and we were given a week to respond. To meet the timing I broke the work into logical chunks that could be handed off to others, and assisted with some of the more complex queries. - Assisted senior leadership in complex data analysis tasks. Automotive Supplier The most valuable lessons I gained from my time in this position were the things that I learned about myself. Throughout the most challenging personal and family struggles of my life to date, I did not always make the best decisions. What I learned is how to better recognize when I am not succeeding, and perhaps when I need to ask for help, so that I can address it head-on and get back on track sooner. .NET (C#, WinForms, ASP .NET, WCF) SQL Server Microsoft Access PHP/Yii Show less

Fulfillment / Document Management Maybe my favorite job, definitely in the top 2. Great people pulling in the same direction to solve interesting problems during a challenging time in the economy. I learned lots of important lessons here, technical and otherwise, that have formed the basis for the rest of my career. Created several “modules”, bespoke worker processes to expand the capabilities of the in-house workflow system. Approximately 90% of customer business flowed through this system which my small team was responsible for maintaining 24/7. Re-wrote or refactored nearly all of the “shop floor” applications for better performance and consistency in data gathering. In addition I made several UX improvements which were well received by operators and management alike, increasing adoption speed and satisfaction. C# SQL Server HP Exstream Show less

Printing and Publishing Onboarded one new customer and completed change requests for existing customers, in a custom document processing system comprised primarily of PReS document composition software, C++ and VBA for automation. Operation of industrial print machinery was required for testing and a small amount of Photoshop for graphics adjustments. Migrated a Postal Qualification process from COBOL to a .NET based solution. Custom Software Solutions Created a mobile retail operations kit for an international weight loss franchise. An ultralight laptop, Windows Mobile PDA and other equipment were combined into an easy to carry case that replicated all of the functionality of the full retail PoS and membership system. Simply open, plug into power and run. The laptop was primarily to host a local database replica, the handheld to streamline the application functions. To get around the need for a stylus, since people kept losing them, I developed custom T9 style input screens. Developed changes necessary for a mental health facility to meet HIPPA compliance. Warehouse and Inventory Management I had the best boss anyone could’ve hoped for right out of school. He found a way to maximize my learning with every task, even when it wasn’t the most practical approach. For one project, involving ruggedized handhelds manufactured in-house, I was asked to implement my own linked-list. Debugging the memory leaks I’d inadvertently created in a production system gave a big boost to my troubleshooting skills early on. For another task, a function to print a Bill of Materials on a plotter, I was asked to use recursion. Though it wasn’t explicitly needed in this case, it did make for much cleaner code and helped me to grok the concept better. Thanks George.
