I got to know Kauko when he was in charge of Nokia Care EMEA and i was responsible for Nokia Care sourcing in EMEA. From the very beginning Kauko welcomed our procurement support to improve the local purchasing processes, at both strategic and operational level and to improve the MEA P&L. Kauko was very critic of what procurement could do/add, but open to listen and never denied a good savings opportunity. Kauko was also very engaged with the Care stakeholders around him and took steps of different kind to make people feel part of Nokia Care MEA success story.
