Bio
Esther Zimmerman
I've had the pleasure to work with Greg as Lead Compositor on many projects over the past years and he has always been so helpful! Greg is a curious creative with a strong eye for detail and a problem-solving attitude, who is reliable and conscientious of deadlines. I have experienced him as a true team player, always willing to spend that extra bit of time to explain specific technical steps, support Junior Artists, or to help translating a treatment into a work breakdown and bid. Furthermore, he has just the right amount of nerdiness to keep up with the latest tech developments and to determine the best approach for each project : ) Greg is a client- facing compositor, with a strong skillset in Compositing- as well as Design software (plus a solid editing background) and is always on the look out for possible improvements to the pipeline, tools, or his own skills. So from creating a complete change of seasons, to tracking and replacing screen content, from retouch to re-edit or from particle generation to motion graphics: Greg's your man. I've learned a lot from him and am looking forward to working with him again in the future!
Xavier van Delft
I worked a lot together with Greg. When I came in for work, Greg was there, when I left to go home, Greg was still at his place... working, fine tuning his giving tasks. Greg is a good colleague with a strong knowledge in compositing and rotoscope. Flint, Flame, Nuke are his strength points, and his advanced skills in After Effects gives Greg the possibility to offer a wide range of possibilities and creative solutions due to all the profound knowledge that he has in the different programmes that he commands. As a compositor he has the necessary intellect for video editing and can even help out on AVID or Final Cut Pro. His interest for software and his eagerness to continue learning (check his list of FPXHD courses!!) and making progress in his skills is a huge surplus for every employer. Greg in your team will astonish your clients, will fasten your work progress and give you a good colleague.

At Channable I am part of the 'API & Orders' team which is responsible for migrating and maintaining current API implementations. Adding new features and customization (e.g. creating and managing feature flags, writing customs scripts to ingest from unsupported platforms). Leading 'feature projects' and owning and resolving the issues of today. Working together is key in our integrations department as its the most central and versatile department of Channable where we team-up with almost every other department: from technical support to our many development teams, but also supporting our sales colleagues in technical calls with prospects and working together with our Product team to expand the features and integrations of out tool. I worked at Captcha as the Lead Compositor together with a great team of talented people. Started as the very first employee when the company was founded in 2013. We have done so many amazing projects it is difficult to select just a few to showcase. Projects ranging from retail commercials to international ad campaigns with an occasional feature film, documentary, music video or art project. I encourage you to check out my portfolio here: https://www.greeg.nl/work/ I worked at Captcha as the Lead Compositor together with a great team of talented people. At Condor I worked as one of three compositors to work on client-attended advertising projects using Flame & Flint. At first mainly basic finishing but more and more projects started to include Multi-pass compositing and other VFX heavy shots on Nuke. The 3D department was expanded and the projects became larger and more challenging. Media Supervisor / Junior compositor
-
Dec 2007 - Apr 2009
Starting as a tape-op / Media Supervisor I learned a lot about video formats and the technical inner workings of a busy post production company. Very soon I made a name for myself as a expert of the digital formats (Red & SI2K were just introduced). The main chunk of the work were commercials and feature film projects. Quickly I started to work on these projects as well as a Junior Compositor using Shake. This is were I fell in love with the craft of compositing. When there was no work we just worked on shots for the fun of it, learning new skills every day. From here on end I started also following FXPHD courses. Show less

ATP Film Company is a film production and post production company. I started here as an intern. This was an inspiring environment working with lots of young creative people. I was lucky enough to edit my very first documentary about a historic neighborhood in the city of Amersfoort. After the internship they took me on and I did many other projects here. Learning about technique and the craft of editing and filming. Including filming and editing for the Miss Netherlands contest 2006 and working as a video switcher for a Live TV-event with the Dutch royals! Even Scenecs, The International Debut Film Festival was a product of collaborative thinking of ATP. Show less
