IT Manager/IT Project Manager
-
May 2010 - May 2017
I am happiest and most productive when solving difficult problems, and I continue to be positively challenged in my current role. I am always viewed as the "go-to" person, and I enjoy the opportunity to help others work through difficult problems and encourage them to think beyond traditional paradigms. As an IT Manager, I supervise, train, review, and manage diverse IT team, providing lead-by-example work style that encourages collaborative teamwork, bilateral communication, accountability, and top-tier support to over 350 financial services users. My role can be especially challenging as I work in a 24X7 support environment to ensure 100% resolution within aggressive SLAs (Service Levels Agreements) through root- cause analysis, and industry-leading solutions. My record of success includes directing the full scope of complex projects, balancing the needs of the customer, the team members, and the project scope, while also promoting optimal utilization of resources, enhanced efficiency and maximized ROI. I am fortunate to apply my end-to-end expertise in project planning and management, as the dual business and technical knowledge enables me to apply ITIL and SDLC methodologies to review technology service methods and recommend changes for future technology direction that emphasize innovation, risk mitigation, cost/time efficiencies, problem resolution, and IT best practices. Network Engineer
-
Sep 2006 - May 2007
I've been fortunate to work with some very innovative firms, and have had the opportunity to develop and grow skills in IT strategic planning, implementation, process change management and exceptional best practices. This was certainly true of Eze Castle Integration, where I improved upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current practices and workflows and client requirements into alternative solutions, within strict time and budget requirements. As Systems/Network Engineer, I also administered LAN connectivity and managed TCP/IP environments for several high-worth financial services clients by using Windows 2000 & 2003, including migrations to current operating systems on a 24/7 basis. I enjoyed the challenges of this position, working cooperatively with diverse teams to transform enterprise technology relationships, and exceeding in the management and delivery of fast-growing and high-margin technology projects and services. I was able to add value on the business side as well by providing expert opinion and presented proposals to clients using market research on latest technological trends on how to upgrade their environment to ensure minimum downtime during disasters. My extensive communications and follow-up skills allowed me to interpret, evaluate and resolve critical pain points, discuss sophisticated business strategies, and recommend methods to improve/update existing systems and equipment to maximize performance, reduce costs, and ensure 24X7 support. In addition, I installed, deployed, and maintained Blackberry Servers and devices, ensuring constant uptime and protection on all devices on the network via managing solutions and monitoring tools. My extensive knowledge also made me a subject matter expert and primary point of focus, acting as a liaison for often disparate teams and/or processes. Show less

Technical Analyst

Oct 2003 - Sep 2006
This position and company were very progressive from a technical standpoint, and they proved integral in defining my work style, focus on systems support, and my awareness of the need for industry-leading quality systems. As a member of the Senior IT Support team, I performed Levels 1 & 2 technical on-site and remote configuration, deployment, maintenance, and support to 400+ users across 40 offices in North America in a Microsoft and Citrix Metaframe environment. I also gained advanced knowledge in Wyse and Neoware thin clients, managed daily, weekly and monthly backup of company data, and participated in restores and disaster recovery testing using CommVault Backup Solution. I set out to research data on industry changes, best practices, and competitor actions, actively reviewed/analyzed the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/processes, and developed strategies to improve or further leverage business systems and hardware/software inventory cycles. I was able to utilize my analytical ability as my business mindset to identify solutions, resolve complex problems, and develop technology and business plans that improved technical infrastructure, increased competitive standing, and reduced operating costs. Many of the skills I learned in this position, such as proactive communication, cross-functional business and technical team brainstorming, support facilitation, and effective problem solves are skills I continue to build upon in my current role.
