Being a Charity Youth Worker at Unitas Youth Zone required team work to ensure a fun but safe environment for children (8-12 years old) to enjoy sporting activities. This demanded a great deal of patience and confidence to be able to lead a group of children, especially with those from more deprived backgrounds. Being a youth worker was an immensely rewarding experience that improved my organisational skills whilst strengthening my team leadership qualities which I had previous experience of, having taken part in football coaching.
