Supporting local and remote users with all technical issues, these included troubleshooting network and application issues both on physical and virtual machines. Applications supported included Microsoft Office, Email, Sage, Hyperion and SharePoint SharePoint management included creating projects and sites which were designed and created after meeting with stake holders of all levels and discussing what their requirements were, after the initial discussions I would create the sites for user acceptance testing and fully document the procedures and workflows. As well as the SharePoint sites I supported issues with sharing large files using FTP and SFX (a secure file transfer program) and resolve any issues that occurred with them. Remote support was performed using Skype for Business, Team viewer and VNC as well as supporting users without being able to see the remote machine by phone. Network issues included resolving DHCP and DNS errors as well as cable and port problems. User admin was also part of my day to day work including setting up removing A.D and Email accounts and permissions. I supported users with recovering deleted files both from backup exec and shadow copied files and resolve any printing issues that they had. Show less

This was a very diverse role supporting users both remotely and deskside across Europe with any technical issues that would arise, these could range from VPN connectivity to software application not functioning as expected. One of my main responsibilities was to support and administer O365. SharePoint project work was a big part of my day to day activity, meeting with internal users of all levels and discussing what their requirements were, from these discussions designing and implementing the look feel and functionality of the site. I completely re-designed the company intranet, part of this was to create many different subsites, these subsites all had smart workflows connected to them which would send out approval emails and change the look and feel of InfoPath forms so that different users had different views and functions. Some of these sites also have statistical tracking making it easier for managers to compile management reports in a much timelier fashion. Show less
