I get to tackle challenges spanning from pure software engineering projects all the way to pure mechanical engineering design projects in my every day work. In my tenure at Lumafield, I have: • Designed the optical architecture of our Neptune scanner – both in the visible and X-ray domains • Designed, implemented and improved our CT scanner calibration methodology (methodology development as well as phantom design) • Prototyped a new scan modality that turned into a product feature of allowing our scanner to scan larger objects without any hardware changes • Designed thermal architecture of our Neptune scanners • Built out local processing infrastructure of HPCs for R&D and prototype purposes • Designed an automated part exchange system for our Neptune scanners • Owned shielding design and evaluation (initially with external vendor and then bringing it in-house) • Owned different reconstruction modalities and improvements for R&D purposes • Enabled quick prototyping by bringing milling capabilities in-house • Developed Atlas - Lumafield‘s advanced AI co-pilot Show less
