His ability to simplify problem statements and explain them clearly without talking down to people really pays off in the strong relationships he forms with both his colleagues and external partners. Tech Vendor Relationship Lead
-
Nov 2019 - Mar 2021
With the rapid growth of this financial services / FinTech’s global footprint and with a portfolio in excess of $30M (2020) it was not always a smooth ride for our key suppliers and providers, covering professional services, SaaS and software products. My role was to establish or build upon and support better relationships with our Tech-related vendors, across the spectrum, but reflecting the predominance of Strategic and Bottleneck suppliers within Tech I frequently aimed to achieve a ‘win-win’ in support of Greensill’s needs.I set up the first supplier contract library, initially for Tech but subsequently expanded to cover all global procurement, and also established a structured supplier onboarding and contract review process, working with senior internal Legal Counsel.I negotiated and drafted agreements with key providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), S&P, Salesforce, Pegasystems, Globant, Ciklum, Infosys, Cognizant, Confluent, MongoDB, New Relic, PagerDuty, DigiCert and Equal Experts, taking them to successful conclusions for Greensill. When a Procurement function was later set up (within Finance) I helped the new Senior Manager establish themself within the business and subsequently worked closely with them to establish common policy and practice across the wider business whilst retaining a prime responsibility for Tech-related procurement.
