    • Web Development Co-op
      • Jan 2018 - Jun 2018

I focused on front-end web development throughout the duration of my co-op. Using AngularJS, HTML, and CSS, I fixed over 50 bugs that were reported in the web app and in the checkout flow. I also used these technologies to develop new features for the web app. I sent event tracking data to Google Analytics using Javascript and node.js, which enabled the Product and Marketing teams to determine where users tend to fall of while proceeding through the checkout flow. I welcomed students to the College of Computer and Information Science and Northeastern University during their first semester. I assisted the college advisors during weekly classes and provided valuable insight from a current student's perspective. I focused on automation testing of the in-house app. During my time, I developed over 40 automated tests using Java and Appium to test the app on both Android and iOS. I also spent time fixing bugs on the mobile platforms using Java and Objective-C. Outside of developing automated tests and fixing bugs, I wrote over 50 tests cases for upcoming features, and I created a cross-platform app that tested the Software Development Kit through the use of Xamarin and C#. • Teaching Assistant
      • Sep 2016 - Dec 2016

I worked for the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University as a teaching assistant for discrete structures. The primary responsibility was to educate students in various topics such as mathematical induction, graphs, trees, set notation, and probability. This was done primarily through weekly recitations of roughly 30 students each. Additional support for the students was provided during office hours. Other responsibilities included grading and providing meaningful feedback on assignments as well as attending weekly staff meetings to discuss teaching techniques. Show less

    • Lifeguard/Swim Instructor
      • Sep 2014 - Aug 2016

I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Southern Saratoga YMCA, one of the branches of the Capital District YMCA. As a result of joining under new management, I became quickly acclimated to the way the pool would be run, so I assisted in training new lifeguards as they started working over the next two years. As a lifeguard, I oversaw the safety of up to 75 swimmers at any given point. These swimmers ranged from children participating in the summer camp program to adults participating in aqua fitness classes. At the same time, I was responsible for answering any questions member had about the pool or the facility as a whole. As a swim instructor, I helped children develop their swimming skills. The children I taught were ages 3 through 15, and group sizes were anywhere from 1 through 13. Some students were afraid of entering the water when lessons began; by the end of the set of lessons, these students felt comfortable swimming half of a lap on their own. Other students were experienced swimmers looking for stroke development and guidance in improving their efficiency in the water. Show less

      • Jun 2014 - Sep 2014

I worked for the Town of Clifton Park Parks and Recreation Department as a lifeguard at the Barney Road Pool. I was primarily responsible for watching over patrons who were swimming as well as patrons who were using other areas of the property. During the peak days of the summer, up to 500 patrons would visit the pool. In addition to lifeguarding, I maintained the property by cleaning the pool, the grounds and any other common areas. During breaks, I assisted members by taking their pictures for ID cards and answering any questions they had. Show less
