Simply put, Sabrina Pourmand is the most talented professional I have ever worked with. She possess qualities in a leader that cannot be taught: she can analyze complex situations and make tough (yet fair) decisions; she is a strategic thought-leader who can think multiple steps ahead in a process; and she is a calming voice of reason during stressful situations. In addition, Sabrina is a wonderful oral and written communicator who can get her audience both interested and inspired. Beyond all that, Sabrina is a passionate advocate for social justice, and in terms of skills, strategy, and vision, she is without peer. I had the pleasure of working with Sabrina during the merger and integration of two different Habitat affiliates. Sabrina displayed exemplary leadership qualities to ensure that the two organizations were able to successfully integrate their structures, finances, procedures, and culture. Sabrina worked tirelessly on the merger while still working full time in her role of Corporate Development Officer. And while juggling both these roles flawlessly, Sabrina also somehow managed to finish her Master’s Degree at the University of San Francisco and win YNPNsfba’s Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year award in 2009.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Sabrina when she took on daunting responsibilities responding to the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Maintaining focus in the midst of the chaos, very thankful she was there to direct the programs developed for such a difficult situation.
