I hired Pedro to carry out software development for a system to calculate the properties of galaxies based on various input parameter. This is a problem of great interest in astronomy in general but most of the existing code is written in Fortran and rather aged and Pedro was hired to construct a framework in C. He approached this problem with great skill and enthusiasm and I was very happy with his execution of the project. With minimal input from me he was able to implement most of what was needed. He has a very good personality and I was very happy with my hire. Although we were limited by time and a final release of the software to the community has not yet been possible the framework developed by Pedro has been extensively used by me, for instance in providing predictions for observations with the upcoming Extremely Large Telescopes - billion-Euro facilities hopefully built in the coming decades. Overall I would strongly recommend Pedro and his work.

Pedro is an outstanding colleague to work with. Academically I've done some major works with him and found him to be a very interested, focused and with a great potential student while never loosing the art of being a really good fellow too work with. Meanwhile, I've noticed that our business areas are coming each time closer and I'll be glad if our paths converge once again.

As Technical Director, my job comprised planning and setting the major research and technical guidelines for the company as a whole and each of our projects. I also handled planning, management and deployment of the company's internal network infrastructure. As a software developer, I mostly did research work in Computer Graphics, Tools, Videogames and Human-Computer Interaction. As a research technician my job was to study a very old Fortran simulation engine and to wrap it under a C API. This work entailed learning the basic astronomic concepts at the base of the simulation engine , grokking the overall code structure and architect a C API wrapper that would ease the way for future porting work.
