It has been great having Brent on board working with ETK as a Non Executive Director. He has provided senior management with excellent insights on financial modelling and planning, strategic planning, and key assistance with some of our flagship initiatives. His insights have helped us raise the bar in terms of service delivery, and have helped position us for growth.

James Emmett

Very clever analytical management consultant with an IT bias. Performs a number of leadership roles intelligently and with skill. Very strong leadership and stakeholder communications. Can talk expertly off the cuff as well as prepare detailed implementation plans when required. Enviable skills set and track record from Vision to implementation and performance improvement.

As a Programme Director with Atos, I worked across a range of industries and clients, from public sector to financial services and insurance, to the International Olympic Committee and NGO's. I was responsible for leading large project implementation teams (300+ team members) delivering targeted services for clients, focused largely on operations consulting, technology outsourcing, and organisational transformation. Key clients included the Ministry of Justice; the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; the International Olympic Committee; The McGraw Hill Companies; and Aviva. I led small strategic initiatives for the CEO, and also was responsible for large multi year high impact projects with P&L responsibility of up to USD120 million. Show less

During my time at Capita, I focused on leading teams that designed and implemented IT transition and transformation programmes for large clients in financial services in the UK. During this time I led a team in designing an IT transition and transformation programme with a budget in the many tens of millions for a 12 year business process outsourcing engagement with a FTSE 100 financial services organisation valued in the hundreds of millions. This required that I manage the development of the technical, organisational and commercial solution for both the transition and the subsequent transformation of the IT estate, along with the related changes in organisational design and support. I also transitioned the technology infrastructure and managed the TUPE’ing (Transfer of Undertaking Protection of Employment) of 300 IT staff to Capita. After completing the transition, I mobilised a team of 50 technical and project staff to deliver a 4 year transformation programme to achieve IT and operational savings in excess of £100 million. • Jun 2002 - Nov 2005

As Regional Director for the Middle East, I led a professional services organisation of 25 healthcare technology specialists focused on delivering large scale IT solutions in clinical settings throughout the Middle East. During my time with Misys, I managed the implementation of what remains the largest clinical system deployed in the Gulf region, supporting multiple hospitals across Saudi Arabia as part of the Saudi Arabian National Guard Health Affairs network of hospitals and clinics. I also was responsible for developing our sales strategy for the region and managed a team of 3 sales professionals focused on selling IT healthcare solutions to large public and private hospitals. As part of my duties, I developed and maintained relationships with hospital CEO’s, CIO’s, Chief Medical Officers, and government health ministers throughout the Gulf and the Levant. A key part of my role was to manage all the operational aspects of doing business in the region, including risk management and control, financial planning and oversight, commercial management, supplier management, and managing relationships with various delivery partners and joint ventures. During my time at Ernst & Young, I led on several projects ranging in value from $100,000 to $3 million focused on delivering operational improvements in a professional services environment, mostly in support of the National Tax Compliance practice. The projects I delivered included a solution for global resource management to allow for sharing of work by teams in multiple countries, a document collaboration tool that allowed for effective sharing of information among dispersed team members, and a competency management tool to facilitate competency-based scheduling of tax consultants. I also spent a year on assignment in Copenhagen, Denmark, working with a software company that was looking to launch its product in the US. That company was subsequently sold to Microsoft, and the product is marketed as Microsoft Axapta. Show less
