Contributed to the Open Indirect Opthalmoscope (OIO) project, a low-cost, open-source screening device used to take retinal images. Added hardware support for taking medical-grade images in the dark; worked on adding auto-focus and capture capabilities in IR light by detecting retinal blood vessel networks in the optical disc. The project was part of the Hackaday Prize Semifinalists and was also featured on the official Raspberry Pi blog.
