Participated in a physical chemistry graduate and undergraduate research team led by Dr. Timothy Steimle. Performed research on the molecular spectroscopy of VO (vanadium(II) oxide) via a Ti: Sapphire laser. Measured the electronic spectrum of VO in the near infrared (NIR) range and calculated the transition wavenumbers for about 90 spectral features for the purpose of studying atmospheres of astrophysical objects such as M-type stars, interstellar clouds, and exoplanets (a NASA grant proposal for further funding was proposed for 2016-2018). Researched VO in scientific journals in order to prepare a published research paper. Show less
