I successfully guided the new product development of the new monitor are ARC, which was awarded a Red Dot Award in 2019, an iF award in 2017 and certified with ergonomic excellence from Fira. I was able to deliver bespoke design solutions to tight deadlines for SBFI’s financial sector clients whilst working closely with the factory to ensure best practice in the business. I was proactive in finding opportunities for the company to expand the product range and collaborations.Whilst at SBFI, I have introduced new product visualisation techniques and created material templates to streamline the design process. I have enjoyed attending design shows and conferences to help identify new product trends and insights. I was proactive in assessing opportunities for the company to expand product ranges and collaborations. It is a client facing role, requiring clear communication, adaptability and effective time management.

Though this was my first professional design experience, I was often left to run projects with minimal oversight. Due to high project turnover, I quickly came to understand the value of good communication and collaboration with my team. Throughout my time at Origin, I worked on range of exciting projects, from initial ideation and concept exploration through to testing and validation of designs. This placement was part of the Loughborough University Diploma in Professional Studies. Of which I wrote a Dissertation which explored why a company may choose to undergo a re-brand and the successes and failures of past company re-brands.
