Colter grew from a frontline bookseller to take on a variety of operational roles for our store including receiving, bookkeeping and A/P. I highly recommend him for his customer service and effective teamwork abilities. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.

Colter is an excellent colleague and a delight to be around and anyone would be lucky to hire him. In the years we spent working together he proved himself an invaluable asset to our small team: insightful and thoughtful, agile enough to assume new responsibilities seamlessly, meticulous but quick on his feet in a remarkably fast-paced work environment. His communication style is transparent and constructive, well-suited to working across styles both within and without of an organization. If given the chance we'd hire him again without a second thought.

As an Adjunct Professor, I created a syllabus for the course Intro to Creative Writing for Non-Majors that sought to develop students' abilities to create meaningful narratives regardless of genre or subject matter. The course involved a blend of lecture, round table discussion, and workshop elements. The course also featured analytical and writing techniques across multiple genres, including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The overarching philosophy of the course was to identify, implement and maybe even manipulate narrative tools used by a diverse array of authors. By the end of the course, students had created portfolios of their own original work. Show less

Working for Student Disability Services Dept., I was tasked with accommodating students' individual needs and became familiarized with the university's privacy policies. I edited students' work and created strategies for students to research, structure written work, and communicate clearly. I worked with around a dozen students, who I met with on an individual basis multiple times a week over the course of several semesters and tailored my teaching strategies according to their needs.
