    • Shifting gears to a new challenge - Senior Technical Leader at Oracle Fusion Apps Partner Support
      • Jan 2013 - Dec 2018

We were recently moved to a new office and our team was being split into two, one group was kept with the same duties and another group, including me were assuming new responsibilities. I had to learn and develop new skills on the fly and instead of being scared it was excited cause I practiced that in parallel with the external experiences at Herbalife and Monavie. That was when I first got into the Cloud world, shifting from a product provider to a service and customer experience provider. I was engaged in the CX world with Oracle Sales Cloud and also in HR world with Oracle Cloud HCM. I was helping partners learning how to implement and activate Oracle Sales Cloud and Oracle Cloud HCM and also how to integrate with both solutions. After a couple of months I started focusing only on Oracle Cloud HCM and became the focal point for the partners in Latin America.During this new change I decided to take a creativity course I felt somehow this would help me moving forward in my career. That was when I met one of the greatest mentors and friend Murilo Gun. In parallel another great friend and also a mentor, Leo Veri, introduced me to Design Thinking. Since them the combination of both brought a lot of opportunities and accomplishments to my personal and professional life.AchievementsSuccessful Oracle ISVs support on launching their solutions in the 2013 Oracle Open World announcement of Oracle Cloud Marketplace (https://cloud.oracle.com/marketplace/).Achieved individual performance goals on Oracle fiscal years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017Trained thousands of people worldwide on Oracle Cloud HCM implementation (Core HR, Absence, Learning, HDL, Extracts, Security) Show less

In 2006 when I worked in partnership with Oracle was the first time I was presented to an interesting strategy and vision and that was one of the reasons why I decided to join Oracle.I was back to a strategic position, being part of the R&D of the company and although we are not directly measured by the short term quarter operational results, when we have a clear sense of meaning, autonomy and influence, the pressure for results are daily and not from outside, but from inside. My role was to manage the technical relationship with global SIs such as Accenture, HP, Delloite, CSC, Wipro, Cap Gemini, IBM, supporting them on Oracle Fusion Middleware stack adoption in Latin America.AchievementsExceeded individual performance goals of Oracle's fiscal year 2011 and 2012Successful technical enablement and mentoring on Oracle SOA Suite 11g for global partner resulting on partner's promotion to Diamond Partnership Level.Roll out of Oracle BPM program into Global SI creating Oracle BPM Suite 11g SMEs to support global implementation for telco industry.Trained over 150 people on "Building next generation of enterprise applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware" in seven different countries.Performed architecture review on a Global SI RFP response for finance industry resulting on contract win on Oracle Fusion Middleware project.Accenture Brazil nominated System Integrator of the year 2011 at Oracle ecosystem Show less

When I was consuming and selling Herbalife, a friend of mine started to approach me, before I was able to seat and talk to him I discovered two great mentors on Nutrition. The first one was Shawn Talbott the author of Secret of Vigor Diet where he talked about the 4 basic chemical reactions that we need to manage in our bodies such as oxidation, glycation, inflammation and metabolic balance, and how Nutrition played an important role on that 4 pillars. The second mentor was Mark Mac Donald founder of Venice Nutrition and author of Body Confidence where he shares a strategy to build metabolic balance. Both were part of the Monavie scientific team and were supporting the creation of the nutrition products and I decided to join the company, to test the Nutrition strategy and I knew based on the past experience that naturally, people were going to ask and selling something that I consume and believe was a natural path. That was a great time on improving my physical and mental health proving the theories of Secret of Vigor diet and Venice Nutrition. From a direct seller career perspective was also a great experience where I was able to build a team, create communities around health life style. In October 2015 Monavie was bought by Jeunesse Global, since them I am still consuming some of the products but the advanced Nutrition ones are not fully in Brazil yet so I decided to maintain as consumer but not investing time as a direct seller. • Jul 2011 - Dec 2012

During my personal journey seeking for a more healthier and sustainable life, I started to search for alternative experiences on Nutrition. At that period was the hype of the "Espaço Vida Saudável" from Herbalife, I started to attend a space close to the office and consume the products. I was loosing weight getting more energized and that was somehow helping me with my health and people started asking me what I was doing and shifting from a consumer to a reseller seem to be a natural path. Looking backwards it was a great training and practice experience on sales and marketing skills. Show less

When I was at college my dream was to join and work at IBM, in 2008 EDS was being acquired by HP, when I got a call from a friend that worked with me at EDS inviting me for an opportunity at IBM. I had no doubt about and accepted the challenge. My open door at IBM was a project with lots of challenges at all levels and if I helped to overcome the challenges the plan was to transition me a more strategic role as I was playing at EDS. At IBM I met great people and learned a lot from that experience we had to work on improving team confidence and show IBM leaders and customer that they were delivering quality results. After one year of hard work we regain team confidence, leadership and customer trust and my intuition was saying that the result might had an impact on my plans inside IBM, as the entire team had conquer a brand of overcoming complex customer challenges. One day I was leaving a customer meeting when I got a call from a friend from Oracle offering an opportunity to join a global team responsible to enable partners on Oracle solutions and he needed help to have someone experienced to work with regional partners in Latin America. I felt I had accomplished the project goal and having a transparent conversation with my leaders at IBM and listening to my intuition I decided to join Oracle. • Preparing to another shift - Senior Information Specialist
      • Jan 2004 - Dec 2005

After 2003 failure at OnStar I was given a new chance to go back to US at General Motors headquarters for a Business Intelligence project. My role was to gather requirements for the ETL piece of the project and come back to Brazil and work in the implementation of it. I was supposed to spend one month there and end up spending 6 months due to the complexity of the process interviewing the customer and helping them on understanding all the different data sources, data formats and come up with a solution to consolidate that in a way that could be possible automated. That was a life changing experience being able to live for 6 months abroad, living like local, learning new culture, interacting with different people from different places around the world. That was certainly a major step for the next career challenge.Besides working on this BI project I was also engaged on global deals proposing usage of offshore team helping reducing costs without losing efficiency. In the end of 2005 I was taken to a leadership training where leaders were being prepared for a new vision and strategy for the upcoming years. Accomplishments:Successfully helped customer to find a solution that could be automatedEvaluated as EDS top performer year 2004 and 2005 Show less

    • Consolidating as a tech leader - Senior Information Specialist
      • Jan 2000 - Dec 2003

In year 2000 General Motors was launching a new model in Brazil, Celta, and that was the first eCommerce experience for an auto company in the country. I was sent with two colleagues for a month to Detroit where we would be trained to develop one of the eCommerce features. Being abroad for the first time was exciting at the same time quite challenging, different culture a completely different environment it was a great experience. A fun facts to share about this is that even taking English classes and graduating I was not able to order a simple #1 meal at Mc Donald's in downtown Detroit. The lesson learned was theory is great but real life experience are transformative.I came back to Brazil, kept developing the feature and training other people so we could bring the eCommerce operation over here. In 2002 the eCommerce had a huge upgrade integrating with GM back end systems and we were invited to lead a team of more than 60 developers for that upgrade. In 2003 I went back to US to work on OnStar migration from analogic to digital technology the idea was to learn and get the operation to Brazil, I was not successful on that and the lesson learned is that I still had a lot to learn in terms of relationship development and also self knowledge and how to reestablish balance when my ego is higher than my humility.Achievements: Successful delivery of awarded business to consumer web site for General Motors BrazilEvaluated as EDS top performer year 2002 Show less

July 1999, an important milestone, that was my first corporate experience with the World Wide Web, also the first experience with marketing and sales, looking backwards now I understand this step as a shifting from a programmer to a technical leader. Those were tough days, I had to completely change myself from that shy and quiet nerd guy to someone that was able to share ideas, talk to and influence people I have never seen before, but the only thing that came to my mind was that little girl that was growing up, she was the motivation for that change.During this period we were launching the General Motors Brazilian web site www.chevrolet.com.br, the first job was to help with testing. After launching the site I was engaged on the site conversion where we were migrating technologies from a Microsoft .Net platform to J2EE platform. In parallel with this experience with the world wide web I was also working on the year 2000 fixes for the General Motors Engineering systems.Achievements: Successful delivery of Year 2000 fixes Show less

    • The beggining of my professional journey - Intern
      • Jan 1997 - Dec 1997

I started as an intern while still in college, it was the mainframe era in the corporate environment and I was excited with my real first job experience. After 3 months as an intern the first challenge came up. My girlfriend told me she was expecting a girl. Looking backwards, that was one of the important milestones that would influence who I am today. One month before the intern contract expire I was hired as an employee, December 1st 1997 was the official beginning, December 6th 1997, six days later, my daughter Juliana was born.
