Responsible for the smooth operation of the studio during live broadcast and planning of pre-recorded playout, including external shoots, ensuring the channel remains Ofcom compliant at all times and presenters and crew receive clear instruction/direction from Myself. Build the new studio from the ground up using all new Blackmagic production equipment as well as LiveU. • Prepare entire staff, including anchors and video production, to effectively handle breaking news scenarios. • Schedule interviews with guests and assigned stories to news reporters to optimise coverage and meet deadlines. • Provide on-site production support for live events such as news feeds and talk shows. • Oversee post-production team members, taking briefs and co-ordinating project delivery for internal stakeholder review. • Attend stakeholder meetings on a weekly/monthly basis and actively contribute. • Meticulously edit footage to schedule, ensuring high quality finish in line with OFCOM requirements. • Instruct camera operators regarding camera setup, angles, distances, movement and other variables. • Provide professional filming in both live and pre-recorded news environments for broadcast on Sky TV. • Point of contact for on-air productions, able to quickly adapt to, and implement any changes required with minimal notice and maximum urgency. • Managed team of 6 direct reports and instructed team and crews during live streams. Also run training days on the current studio, teaching new staff how to use the Blackmagic equipment installed in the main MCR. • Motivate, support and direct junior team members to maximise department efficiency.
