I mentored Tony in late 2017, for a capstone project on public bike share use. He began the workshop with little programming experience and quickly caught on. His dedication to learning and producing quality outcomes was consistent throughout the project deliverable. I was particularly impressed by his capacity to independently search for solutions when he faced challenges. I'd strongly recommend Tony for a senior data analyst role, or a junior data science.

Tony Tushar is one of the most dedicated and talented students with whom I've had the opportunity to work, both in my time at Metropolitan State and, previously, at the University of Washington. In his work experience he has proven himself to be a valuable team member who makes important contributions to his organization. His work as my student in two upper division economics courses was of the highest quality. Further, he motivated my co-instructor and me to take a major step in adopting the R software package for our course in regression analysis, a move that benefited us at least as much as it did our students. The research project that Mr. Tushar undertook for the course was of the highest quality and I was proud to submit it to the Minnesota Economic Association student paper contest on behalf of Mr. Tushar and our University. Beyond his course work, Mr. Tushar has taken it upon himself to develop his expertise in data analysis, both quantitative and visual presentations of data, and his achievements in this area have been impressive. Simply put, Mr. Tushar is an intelligent, well organized and highly skilled professional who will be a valuable asset to the organization that attracts him, and I am proud to offer my strongest possible recommendation.

With a background in hospitality and production management, I oversaw a restaurant and catering operation with over $6 million in annual sales. Advising three department managers in daily activities, I collaboratively reorganized business processes in the areas of inventory, pricing analysis, workforce training, and staffing, reducing operating expenses by 7% and labor by 2% from 2014-2015.
