Working with Rafael for the past two years at Crisis Text Line was fantastic. He started as a coach supporting the launch of the Spanish service using CRM systems and other tools to enhance the volunteer experience. As a senior success coach he project managed different initiatives that supported the recruitment, reactivation, and retention of current volunteers to ensure bilingual volunteers on the Platform to support Texters 24/7. Rafael is not only a detail-oriented worker, but extremely driven and an amazing team leader. I’m sure he will be a tremendous asset to his new team and employer wherever he goes next.

Rafael was an integral part of the launch of a first of it's kind national Spanish crisis intervention service. Rafael was involved in the planning, development, and strategizing of essential processes and procedures needed for the onboarding and continuous skill development of bilingual volunteers. Rafael demonstrated an ability to work with multiple teams, cross collaborating with Marketing, Data, Engineering, Clinical/Quality Improvement, Communications, and Training. Rafael was instrumental in assessing and evaluating the quality of training and policies. He was a subject matter expert for various projects that consisted of commitment and great responsibility to meet deadlines. He coordinated and organized several pieces of communications to volunteers in efforts to improve user experience and was involved in the project planning of new initiatives for the retention and reactivation of volunteers for the Spanish service. Rafael contributed thoughtful insights when testing the effectiveness of pilot programs. As a senior level employee he was considered a leader and mentor amongst his team and he was well respected by others. His willingness to learn and participate in new opportunities truly demonstrated his eagerness to drive the mission forward and I’m confident that Rafael will be a tremendous asset in any organization or company.
