It was my sincere pleasure to meet and work closely with John. He has the best outlook in a person I have ever met. He treats each member of his team like family and would do anything for them. After knowing me for a short time, I was invited to family functions, vacation trips for our time off, and even to stay in his home when my apartment became unlivable. I continue to be impressed with John as he grows his creativity writing children's books and putting together other projects that demonstrate his unlimited imagination. John is an incredible leader, entrepreneur, and friend. I would recommend to anyone that working with John is a great experience but befriending him is the ultimate reward.

John is a creative thinker who leverages his experience and understanding of distribution to help new executives in role. John helped me when I was new to the team and gave me a perspective in which I could base decisions for the group.

FIGID Press is a publishing company I created to help authors experience the joy of seeing their works in print. FIGID stands for Finally I Got It Done, which describes my feelings exactly after I published my first Children’s book, No Sweets for Santa. This venture has allowed me the ability to create The INDYpendent Show, a place for local creators to connect and educate those interested in art, comics, writing, and more. Owner Central Indiana • Facilitator: Hosted and facilitated open discussion group that provided monthly meetings and communication to allow creators to network and learn about different publishing options. Created an online presence to help link authors to local resources. • Industry Resource Panelist: Participated as a guest on different podcast shows to speak on a variety of topics, including self-publishing, crowd-funding, and marketing techniques. • Publishing: Self published multiple books from 2009 to present, performing all tasks involved to bring a book into existence. • Contracting: Creation and negotiated contracts for freelance work • Project Management: Taken multiple book projects from idea creation, through acquiring funds, all the way to shipping/fulfillment. • Marketing & Promotions: Designed retail and community promotions to promote published books and products.
