I had the good fortune to work with Razvan at Postclick/Instapage despite living half a world away from each other. Razvan is an incredibly skilled designer and earnestly hard worker. Upon joining the design team he swiftly earned the respect of his colleagues through both his expertise and his work ethic. I once read on LinkedIn, "If you spend six months trying to hire a manager only to find your team is running successfully then you shouldn't be hiring - you should be promoting." That was the case for me with Razvan. After spending some time looking for a design manager it became clear that he was someone with whom I could partner and on whom I could rely to oversee our design team. And he was tremendously successful in the role, helping drive high-quality work while personally supporting the various designers under his charge. I had the privilege of working with Raz for nearly a year at Instapage. At his core, he is a talented UI/UX designer, with a strong background in marketing & knowledge of CRO best practices. However, what stood out to me most was witnessing him grow tremendously as a team leader. Raz lead his global team with genuine compassion and empathy, and was well-loved by his team. He was a player-coach, stepping in as needed to ensure deadlines were met, and truly lead from the front.
