      As a Senior Consultant, I worked closely with a key global client to facilitate an upgrade of their Dynamics CRM 2016 implementation to Dynamics 365 (both online): • Functional overview and training of Dynamics 365 • Developing proof of concepts using new functionality in Dynamics 365 • Functional/technical Design documentation of existing and new processes • Reviewing system processes and advise of best practices to drive user adoption whilst writing test scripts and ebooks for end users • Exploring alternatives in the Office 365 stack to meet requirements (i.e. PowerApps and Flow) • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to the CRM Administration team during and after the upgrade. • Investigation to replace the Outlook Client with the new App for Outlook in conjunction with the Global Office 365 Admin team. Following the upgrade to Dynamics 365 - a new project start to merge (and split) two separate international business units under a new business unit/divisional hierarchy. This change would have an impact to current business/sales processes and procedures which would need to be catered for in CRM. I was assigned the following project roles: • Lead Consultant - gather and produce a functional requirements document which highlighted the technical specifications for bespoke development (i.e. Plugins and Custom Workflow Activities) • Implement and re-configure existing CRM customisations to meet the new processes of the merged business units (Business Process Flows, Form Changes, Workflows, Security Roles etc.) • Write bespoke JavaScript to meet complex requirements at the client level • Customise Ribbon Buttons (using Visual Ribbon Editor) to meet validation logic (i.e. for approvals) • Write Test Scripts for User Acceptance Testing • Develop a deployment plan which would take into consideration the following: Solution deployment User Security Roles re-assignments and record ownership to fit the new business unit structure Data changes to existing records Show less

      After Graduating with a Degree in Computing and Management at Loughborough University, one of the key subjects in my degree incorporated background theory on CRM and ERP and the potential benefits these systems could bring to business. In my short period of employment, I have already increased my skill set quite significantly whilst also becoming Microsoft Certified with MS CRM Dynamics 2011. Experience has also been gained through the integration of SQL Server as a key requirement of MSCRM and Windows Server 2008/2012 and also packages that are offered by Partners of Microsoft to compliment the MSCRM stack, such as Data Import Software, Mobile MSCRM connectivity, additional tools distributed to help increase efficiency and productivity of MSCRM Customisation The role of dedicated Microsoft Dynamics CRM Consultant at TSG is one that incorporates the full software life cycle of a MS CRM system that is built for our customers. I have been involved at all stages of a project, whether I am needed for • Pre sales scoping • Functional and technical scoping • Documentation • Solution design • Customisation and configuration of Dynamics to meet the customer requirements(including installation) • Training of all types of users, this could include Admin training, End user training and Security profile training Part of the job is to extend the skill set to beyond that of just MS CRM, but to other solutions which compliment CRM, which increase productivity in a wide variety of areas, such as: CWR, Inaport, Report Writing, Dashboard Creation, Connector for MS Dynamics.
