  Depending on where I was schedule I was responsible for opening procedures, handling money and giving correct change back to the customer, getting them what they needed, to do closing procedures. Also train people, new hires or those who were chosen to have more responsibilities.   For my schooling we had to extern at a dental office to gain experience on how a real dental office would run. I shadowed for the first week and after that I was hands on learning. Learning how they wanted everything done from welcoming the patients, setting up the trays for whatever treatment we were going to be doing and dismissing the patient. I was also able to work on the skills I learned from school and further develop them to get an even better end result.
