Intern - Domestic Violence Hotline

Aug 2023 - 5 months
St Louis, Missouri, United States I am an intern at ALIVE and currently work mainly on ALIVE's 24-hour crisis line. I answer crisis calls for victims of intimate partner violence and provide emotional support and information on domestic violence resources and shelters within the greater Saint Louis Area. I also do assessments that evaluate whether a client is eligible to join ALIVE's emergency housing services. The team is in-person, but most communication on ongoing situations is done through Microsoft Teams.
