  As a litigator focused on resolving clients’ legal disputes, each of my matters required that I: - Understand the client’s business and objectives to recommend strategies consistent with its goals and corporate philosophy;- Analyze disputes from different angles, considering not only the pertinent facts and legal arguments but also the emotions of those involved, to reach an acceptable resolution; and - Communicate risks and recommendations effectively with lawyers and non-lawyers at the firm and the client’s office, advocate for my client's position in legal papers and oral argument before judges and negotiate resolutions with opposing attorneys.In addition to working on individual cases, I helped oversee and manage the simultaneous defense of hundreds of cases for two different clients. This required me to effectively organize case information, keep track of ongoing developments and timely communicate information about significant developments while helping to coordinate the strategies being employed by multiple teams. I worked closely with legal, marketing and information technology staff to develop a knowledge management database for the firm's litigation practice area.I served on the firm’s Hiring Committee, Associate Development Committee, Litigation Training Committee and ad hoc committees to address diversity and associate issues, mentored associates and gave professional development programs while maintaining an active case load.
