Kristen is one of the most hard working,dedicated, creative individuals that I know. I had the honor of working very closely with Kristen at the Shriners Hospital for Children ,Boston for many years as co-coordinator of the school re-entry program. She excelled as a patient advocate . She had a unique talent for prioritizing the patient’s and families needs and being respectful of their culture while developing a plan that would allow them to excel. Her work also encompassed closely collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to seek a thoughtful treatment plan for theses children , many of whom have experienced devastating injuries. Kristen’s creativity was an inspiration to all. She developed programs where the children’s work through self esteem would be enhanced through art and theater just as examples. Kristen is a team player and puts the needs of others first. Her dedication,spirit, and professional expertise will support any endeavor which she takes on and would be an asset to any organization.

In her role as Senior Patient Education Coordinator for Therapeutic Services, Kristen delivered high quality personalized education services to patients throughout their hospital admissions. She was responsible for designing and delivering programming that allowed children to advance in their academic development despite long, difficult hospital stays. In addition to her work within the hospital, Kristen collaborated with school systems throughout the Continental United States to provide community outreach in the form or school re-entry programming for children returning to their classrooms after extended hospital stays and life altering injuries. She always displayed creativity, caring and incredible advocacy for her patients. Kristen embodies many great leadership qualities; breadth of knowledge, compassion for others and transforming vision into action. I am proud to call her colleague, mentor and friend.
