  Working in a development team in the first UK company to utilise Android and SMP together in a mobile solution. Being one of two Android developers in development my knowledge and experience are an important part of the team. Developing on a range of Android phones and tablets which communicate with multiple technologies such as SAP, SMP and PI to create the next generation of an award winning mobile sales platform. Using experience and knowledge of how Android applications are built, to give advice and guidance on future releases of the application and what ideas are plausible, when it comes to what is possible or not on the operating system. Keeping the application up to date with all the new exciting tools which get released on each new Android OS version, while also maintaining backwards compatibility with older versions. Attends events such as Droidcon to gain new information and insights in other applications which can then be utilised in related projects. Role in the project has gone beyond pure development, has helped plan changes to the database structure and deployment, assisted with support calls in order to track down issues and resolve them, while also been in communication with companies whose hardware (e.g. Printers) which are used in order to maintain compatibility with each (potentially very different) Android version. Recently begun taking over the ScrumMaster role for the project, this involves facilitating daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospective and removing any blockers the team has encountered.
