  Representing banks, developers, pipeline companies and a wide range of governmental entities, I provide assistance in condemnation matters. My work frequently includes using eminent domain for community redevelopment projects, public infrastructure and utilities. I have represented property owners, from homeowners to national retailers, architects, engineers and other professionals, in disputes involving mechanic's liens, and my real estate experience extends to annexation, contract, easement, lease and zoning disputes for commercial and residential property owners. In Missouri and southern Illinois, I handle tort matters and regularly handle claims for products liability for clients who manufacture food materials, home appliances, industrial products, law enforcement devices and recreational equipment. I also represent municipalities around the region, working as the City Attorney for the City of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri for more than a decade. I have served as the Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Crestwood, Missouri for more than twenty years and also serve as special counsel to cities in complex municipal litigation matters. I lead Armstrong Teasdale’s national litigation practice group, a multi-million dollar practice group that features more than 150 legal professionals in disciplines across markets in the United States. The litigation practice group is the largest of the 4 practice groups at the firm. I am a member of Armstrong Teasdale’s executive committee, a group of 11 leaders that sets strategy for the firm’s offices in the United States and Europe. I was elected by my peers to serve a six-year term on the St. Louis County Judicial Commission, a five-person group responsible for nominating judges to the bench in St. Louis County. My term runs through 2027. I have provided legal commentary for programming on KTRS Radio in St. Louis, Missouri.
