- Responsible for the research, design, and planning of a system to isolate single cells in micro water-in-oil drops. I performed review of available literature; designed and fabricated prototypes; tested the design with various oil mixtures, micro-particles as simulated cells, and flow models (pressure system vs. syringe). - Responsible for the research, design, and planning of a system to isolate single cells in micro water-in-oil drops. - Designed an analog trigger circuit to capture image frames for a prototype imaging system utilizing optical coherence tomography. The circuit’s purpose was to provide the timing for sectioning capture data from a sensor. - Participated in testing the device in a live animal trial. The goal was to simulate the detection of blood vessels during surgery. - Wrote a technical description of the circuit for the publication of the research. - Designed an analog trigger circuit to capture image frames for a prototype imaging system utilizing optical coherence tomography.
