I am currently the lead program coordinator for BTru. BTru is an organization out of LetsStopAIDS that is aimed at finding good people with good ideas in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals who are looking to make a difference in their community. We are trying to find these projects and people to showcase their story and innovation, provide them with any necessary resources to complete/spread the project, and influence others to follow the SDGs to help achieve the 2030 UN goal. • Sustainability Awareness Advisor
      • May 2019 - Aug 2020

In May 2019 I approached building coordinators within HOEM on Jarvis, and showcased the sustainability measures that I deemed as essential to improving the overall sustainability mindset throughout the building. My idea for a sustainability program was listened to, and I was hired by HOEM to act as the Sustainability Advisor. From then on, my tasks would involve implementing building-wide change, and create a more sustainability and environmentally conscious mindset amongst the residents by promoting sustainable actions and lifestyle changes. With this role, my tasks involved raising awareness about the impacts individuals have upon their immediate and greater environment, creating sustainabulity and waste management programs throughout the building, and connected likeminded inviduduals who wanted to make a difference. The first year of the program saw positive changes and enthusiasm, but it also had the added challenge of COVID-19, which forced the accommodation of the program to be operated virtually.

    • Fundraising Chair
      • Apr 2018 - Dec 2018

As fundraising chair for my sorority, my tasks involved organizing and implementing fundraisers from the ground up. Funds raised not only assisted my sorority, but also raised funds for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre and the Special Olympics. This opportunity presented me with the skills of time management, creativity, public outreach, problem resolution, teamwork, and the ability to lead.
