In this role I over see a speciallized team of responders for high risk police/fire incidents. Conduct crucial infrastructure threat assessments and antiterrorism response planning for the municipal and private entities. I also assessed risks and conducted threat vulnerability assessments (TVAs) on dams, power sites, fuel farms and event venues for large-scale events with 60K+ attendees, and acted as NIMS coordinator for the city. Here are several ways I added value: 🔥 In addition to delivering emergency response briefings to City leaders and high-visibility business, hospitals and churches, I coordinated emergency exercise training including active shooter drills. ✍️ By assisting the emergency manager to write an Incident Action Plan (IAP) for sporting events and large-scale city gatherings for up to 10K attendees, we strategically supported events like the NFL Super Bowl, NASCAR races and NBA Finals. I also researched and purchased equipment for active shooter response plans. 📞 To facilitate a cohesive integration during emergency situations and training exercises, I ensured proactive communication between fire and law enforcement entities. ✍️ I created collaborative partnerships with internal divisions and responders throughout the state such as SWAT, public health and bomb squad, as well as external local, state and federal agencies to effectively respond to possible threats.
