Sarah Chaloner
I have known Geoff since January 2015 where he has worked as a Senior Project Manager on my virtual face to face (vF2F) project and has delivered extraordinary results. This project delivered desktop video conferencing using Zoom and we quickly became the largest user of Zoom in the country. Geoff went on to extend the project to deliver broader technology to the program that delivered a new vertical campus (1PSQ) in the middle of Parramatta City. Indeed through Geoff’s steer, the project team pushed the boundaries of the technology, turning much of it on its head to meet my somewhat ambitious expectations. The innovations in Western Sydney University’s 1PSQ Learning Studios are as a result of Geoff’s gentle but persistent leadership to bring different technology disciplines together and solve difficult problems. Students and staff alike have been exceedingly impressed with the results. Geoff’s success led to him being asked to lead the program to deliver all the technology workstreams for the Liverpool campus which will be delivered in half the time of 1PSQ. Geoff has a quiet and thoughtful approach that leads to deep insights and gentle but challenging questioning. I can count on one hand the Project Managers who could turn their hand to pretty much any project. Geoff is one of them.

Geoff demonstrates a rare combination of deep technical skills with organisational change management skills that ensure any project he is involved in has a successful and sustainable outcome. Rare qualities indeed. He is also a wonderful colleague to work with and I hope our paths cross again.
