Johan was in my assigned group during Ray Wenderlich Bootcamp in 2020. Johan was a standout in his curiosity, quickness in learning and kindness in helping others. He is not only a great developer but a loyal friend and deep caring person with wide range of interests. I have been a fan, tester of his apps in Spanish learning and pet adoption. For past two years that I’ve known him, he has always been supportive and kind to everyone around him. He would be a great positive addition to any team.

Johandre is that magical combination of great developer and amazing human being that makes him a joy to work with. I had the pleasure to get to know him while he attended the raywenderlich.com bootcamp in 2020, and have continued to watch him grow since. He is a sponge for new information, striving for a deep understanding of new concepts resulting in a strong foundation and high quality work. My fondest memory of Johandre was the unveiling of his bootcamp Capstone project, Petulia, a free platform he developed for helping shelters list available animals. The project was a great example of his positivity, desire to help others and technical expertise coming together. If you’re looking for a skilled and self motivated iOS engineer who brings empathy and positivity to your workplace, I highly recommend you reach out to Johandre.

Worked closely with designers, testers, and product managers, in multi-disciplinary agile scrum teams to develop, modify and maintain user interfaces for our new app redesign. Migrated key features to SwiftUI, leveraging Combine, Swift Package Manager, and an MVVM approach, modernizing our UI and contributing to an increase in client retention. Refactored legacy code with good software engineering fundamentals in mind, and cleaned up the code with dependency injection and unit test, reducing onboarding time for new engineers by 20%. Worked with our backend system integrating RESTful API calls for new features and reviewing specs. Added support for accessibility features like dynamic type making our app more accessible and functional. Show less
