His strengths on organizational development, alumni relations, fund-raising and coaching are key attributes to the recent success of the program. Todd has a been a key factor in turning the University of Maryland wrestling team into a top 20 program. He possesses many qualities that would allow him to succeed in a variety of professions. Todd is an excellent communicator who has demonstrated the ability to articulate the mission of the program to the wrestling community He is an engaging communicator who gets outsiders motivated to become a part of this goal. He has built strong relationships with key in-state coaches and student athletes in order to get them to buy into the vision. Needless to say, he is a tireless marketer who recognizes his target market and has the ability to cultivate relationships in order to achieve goals. Todd has also been extremely successful in fund-raising for the Maryland program. His contribution was key in raising 250k to endow scholarships so the University of Maryland program could become full-funded. He has also organized and hosted several successful events that have raised significant money to increase the operating budget. Todd has also proven to be an outstanding recruiter as he has helped assemble several top 20 classes during his tenure at UMD. He recognizes what University of Maryland and it’s athletic programs offer in value in comparison to competitors and uses that to get the best student athletes nationally. Finally, Todd is considered one of the brightest young coaches in the college coaching ranks. He has a reputation of bringing a business-like model to the wrestling program which has helped make UMD one of the top programs on the east coast. Other duties include budgeting and administrative tasks. His leadership skills are tops in the business. The student athletes he coach will attest to his tireless work ethic and determination in seeing them reach their individual and team goals. I believe he would be an ideal candidate for a sales, recruiting, fund raising, management or marketing position given his prior experiences.

The Terrapin Wrestling Club (TWC), formerly the College Park Wresting Club, will provide added training and competitive opportunities for the local wrestling community, as well as post-collegiate wrestlers with international aspirations. We believe TWC can become the heart and soul of wrestling in Central and Southern Maryland. We will be conducting regular clinics for wrestlers of all ages to perfect their technique and assist in their training toward championships at every level. We are also an Official Regional Olympic Training Center of USA Wrestling, so we are be able provide stipends and financial assistance to club coaches and members as they compete in local, regional, national and international competitions.
