After continuing my studies, I needed to complete an internship as per requirement for the completion for my Degree. I chose Desa Hatchery again because of the sense of community and for the range of knowledge I would be able to get from the company. I continued my work from my previously held position with a couple of added tasks. • Attended meetings at the Desa Group of Companies headquarters for the improvement of the current maintenance programs • Established efficient workflow processes, monitored daily productivity and implemented modifications to improve overall effectiveness of personnel and activities • Reduction of labour costs by the re-arranging of work schedules I previously handled although I was dealing with new personnel • Liaised with Sabah Food Corporation Sdn. Bhd's personnel for the documentation of all the machinery in the factory which would explain: • The application of every machine in the factory • The construction of every machine in the factory • The specification of every machine in the factory • The list of components of every machine in the factory • The preventive maintenance required for every machine in the factory • From this, we proposed the implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System which would be an online maintenance management program which would allow the C.E.O to check on the functionality and maintenance done on every machine under the Desa Group of Companies Show less
