Main Responsibilities: • Managing and guiding product development of the web application in a CakePHP framework. This included supervision and guidance for the UI/UX design and collaborating with a team of developers to supervise the creation of the web app. • UI/UX design and development for the company's website in a WordPress framework, built upon a child-theme of Avada. Tools used were Photoshop, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery and JavaScript. The website is fully mobile responsive across all devices and has been optimized to have a 2.3-second loading speed. • Complete SEO optimization of the website. This began with a detailed Keyword Analysis using Google's Keyword Planner and tools such as SEMrush and KWFinder. Based on the keyword analysis, the on-page SEO was done, including setting up the right HTML5 structure, meta descriptions, meta title, image alt tags, HTML5 microdata specifications, sitemap, robot.txt file, and cross-linking. A backlink analysis was done using Ahrefs, and the company was advised with regards to a backlink strategy. • Coordinated the creation of the video sales letter which included writing the script, creating an outline for the scenes in the video, employing and managing the right voice talent and supervising the creation and implementation of the animations and video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. • Structuring and setting up the email marketing client acquisition program in MailChimp which included developing the templates, writing the email copy, and setting up the necessary marketing automations, list segmentation and tagging functionality using Zapier. • Creation of a full marketing plan which included the development of a buyer persona, client acquisition strategy, lead magnet, and remarketing strategies. I completed the projects in 7 months and was promoted to Head of Sales & Marketing. Main Responsibilities: • The company's website hadn't been updated since the 1990s and the design & usability were substandard. In addition, the company's server had been hacked, and malware had been installed. I was charged with cleaning the old server, installing adequate security, and creating a modern custom-made design for the website. I designed the website in Photoshop and developed it with a custom PHP backend. The tech stacks used were PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Security was ensured via .htaccess customization and protection against DDoS attacks by implementing a content delivery network (CDN). • An old, malfunctioning Microsoft Access database was used to manage the salaries & internal data of 50+ employees. I was tasked with reconstructing the database from scratch and re-creating a more intuitive and easier to manage front-end infrastructure capable of handling the increased size of the company. This included an archiving functionality to hold the data of employees (monthly salaries & taxes) for up to 50 years. The database and front-end were built using Microsoft Access including macros, VBA programming, and SQL. Old data was imported into the new database and functionality was fully tested. • The company was using an old metal/aluminum sheet & glass cutting optimization algorithm from the 90s to find the optimal way to cut a series of smaller sheets from larger ones while minimizing the material lost. It was based on a greedy algorithm. I was tasked with improving the efficiency of the algorithm and developing a new program from scratch. I built the program (front-end and back-end) in Java on top of a Processing library and designed a cutting-edge evolutionary algorithm which reduced material lost by more than 21% on average.
