    • International Perms and Compliance Lead

Flex Staffing is a start up company that I joined in the very first days of development. I was responsible for Implementing both the IT and Compliance systems, this included; - Integration of the CRM System Eclipse - Providing staff with additional training on the database, to ensure it was populated in the most effective way - Creating an effective compliance service, along with the Clinical Manager - Training compliance staff on processes, and current legislation - Ensuring all files were being completed to our standards and approving all candidates before they were placed for work. In addition to this, I also oversaw our International Perms desk, undertaking BD and delivering on Projects and Spot placements for both NHS and Private clients.

After starting on the desk as a consultant, I was promoted to the role of Team Leader in order to give the desk new drive and focus which had not previously been in place. I devised new processes in order to ensure the desk ran to a scheduled recruitment deadline, so that we could get the maximum amount of applicants through with the minimum amount of cost. Included in my role, as Team Leader was to monitor all of our Nurses working patterns and pay to ensure they were earning enough when they arrived in the country. I also oversaw all of the compliance that my team were doing for the nurses, this included signing off all of the files put through by the team, ensuring the files were being completed to NHS Framework standards. I oversaw the activities of the desk's Business Development consultant to ensure she was getting the maximum amount of candidates from the most effective channels. During my time as Team Leader I completely revamped the processes and work ethic of the desk, by changing the pre-screening process of candidates was streamlined, so only the best candidates were being put forward to compliance. Once they had been identified as being suitable to go forward and compliance worked on, I implemented a new process and timeframe for files to become compliant in – this included incentives to ensure the compliance consultants adhered to the new timeframes.

This was a dual role, that involved me working both independently and as part of a team. My main responsibilities were to oversee all of the Special Projects, which included being the national supplier to the MOJ's Tribunal Services, ATOS, Rapier and other local Council and OH screenings. The role involved me liaising with several parties to ensure all bookings were covered with an appropriately experienced member of staff, agreeing pay rate and travel expenses, and ensuring everything was carried out correctly on the day, dealing with any problems that may have arisen in a professional and timely manner. The other part of my role was working on starting up a small Permanent recruitment team for Qualified Nurses. My main responsibility was to look after all of our members looking for Perm work. I built up the database that myself and my colleague created, to ensure it always contained the most experienced and recent staff possible, and keeping in contact with them on a regular basis. I was also responsible for sourcing candidates for all of the live vacancies we currently had, because of this I had to work closely with my Colleague to ensure I had enough information about the job, to be able to find the right person for the role. In addition to the above responsibilities I was also made responsible for negotiating and managing all of the online advertising accounts for the company, this meant I had to get maximum exposure for the company for the best possible price and ensuring all branches used the services in the best way possible. Due to the dual nature of my job, I had to have certain methods in place to ensure I made the best of my role, and hit all of the targets that were laid out for me.
