David Lin is one of the brightest, professional, and experienced project managers / engineers I've had the pleasure to work with for several years. He is excellent in his communication and leadership, always brings innovative ideas to the table, and pays attention to detail. He finds ways to improve current processes, implement new technology, and keeps his projects moving efficiently. I will always give David my highest recommendation!

I can begin my recommendation by saying that David was one of the most capable students in our chemical engineering class at UCLA. My classmates and I were made aware of this simple fact because David was so helpful during the course of our studies. He was always willing to explain concepts and go over material from any course; whether it was thermodynamics or reactor design. His intellect proved most helpful during our senior design course. For this course, we used Honeywell's UniSim Design software to model operations for a theoretical biodiesel refinery. This unique system proved extremely difficult to model on UniSim as the transesterification and saponification reactions were not intuitive to the software. Indeed, our chemical engineering class spent many a night toiling in the computer lab. What impressed me most was not that David and his group accomplished their design. Rather, I was impressed that David did so while hopping from computer bank to computer bank helping the other groups that were struggling. This of course included me. Though a brief vignette, this story best describes David. Not only is David intelligent and hardworking, he is also eager and willing to help others. Fortunately for me, David and I remain friends despite the fact that several time zones separate us. Whereas he lives in Hawaii, I'm currently a biochemistry doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin. My studies and my research are decidedly less engineering geared. However, occasionally I do need to brush up on skills from my chemical engineering past. This happened recently as I had to use UniSim Design once again. It didn't matter that my proficiency has eroded considerably. All I had to do was make a well-timed call so that I could chat with David after he'd finished work. In mere minutes, my daylong frustrations were assuaged. As I have mentioned, David and I have kept in touch and so I'm familiar with the positions that he has held and the experience that he's gained. I also know that we both share a keen interest in renewable energy. We've spoke at length about the need to implement sustainable technologies in various sectors of the economy whether it be renewable energy, effective waste management or even consumer products. This is one reason why I was more than happy to write David a letter of recommendation. I honestly don't know what more I can say about him. Should you get David into an interview, I'm certain that he will easily corroborate all the sentiments that I've expressed here.
