I currently work in the Roth Lab at Fred Hutch studying organisms ability to decrease their metabolism in the absence of oxygen and then recover from the anoxia. My position includes RNAseq and analysis to determine genes involved in suspended animation, Northern Blot assays to determine RNA levels in and out of oxygen and qPCR to validate the RNAseq expression results.
