Assisted the G-77 and State partners in ongoing international treaty negotiations at the United Nations and other diplomatic fora. Most notably during the treaty negotiations on Marine Biodiversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction in the course of the Intergovernmental Conferences 4 and 5 (BBNJ-IGC4/5) and the UNEA discussions on a Plastic Pollution Treaty.Conducted extensive research and writing assignments on topics of public international law, international environmental law, and the law of the sea in order to better assist our State partners. Legal Advisor at the Maldives' Mission to the UN in New York.▪Advised the Mission in its conduct of international diplomacy under the Presidency of the Maldives of the 76th session of the General Assembly (UNGA).▪Provided legal assistance, drafting and negotiation support on UN Resolutions.▪Wrote statements and interventions to be delivered at the UNGA for the Permanent Representative and other Maldivian diplomats. ▪Covered relevant Committees and advised the Permanent Representative and Deputy Permanent Representative on decolonization issues (UN-SPECPOL), legal issues (6C), climate change, and human rights issues at UNGA. ▪Helped to write the Report of the Maldives' Delegation for the 76th session of UNGA. ▪Helped to write an International Law Commission (ILC) submission on behalf of the Republic of Maldives on issues of sea-level rise in relation to international law.

Co-wrote a shadow report on disabled people’s rights in Bangladesh, which was submitted by the NGO to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN-CRPD). Met with a Foreign Affairs Advisor at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to present the NGO's work on disabled people's rights in Bangladesh and Mauritania.
