Promote strong community relations and partnerships between the school district and corporate and nonprofit interests. Support the districts mission to improve the academic and social progress of students through curricular and extra-curricular activities. Lead efforts to recognize, cultivate, promote, and strengthen advancements in education particularly those that exist outside of normal classroom time, such as after school and summer programs and district-wide resource such as 43-acre outdoor classroom. Produce annual calendar of programs and activities, including the Oklahoma Folklife Festival. Involved in multicultural outreach to underserved communities around the state. Principle contact for development, including all grant writing, fundraising, and public relations. Organization is the annual recipient of the State of Oklahoma’s allocation of folklife infrastructure funding from the National Endowment for the Arts among other major sources of grant funding.
