Responsible for teaching, assessing and developing parts of the curriculum for Level 2 and Level 3 Business Studies and IT qualifications to 16-18 Year olds in a Sixth Form Setting. I am the Level 3 coordinator for BTEC Business Studies and in this role I have to supervise and ensure compliance with the BTEC internal verification process and complete the administration work associated with this. I am also responsible for Enterprise Enrichment through the Young Enterprise Platform at the college. I also have experience of mentoring teachers and teaching the EPQ programme through our enrichment programme at Level 3 to our A Level learners.Scarborough Sixth Form College is voted 14th Best Sixth Form in England and is in the top 5% for progress nationally.

Venn Group: College Collaboration Fund Co-ordinator

As a College Collaboration Fund (CCF) Co-ordinator I work with colleagues at each VENN Group college in Northern England to develop and co-ordinate the Digital Teaching, Learning and Assessment project for the DFE. I work closely with senior leadership team in the VENN colleges to ensure that Content Contributors are well-briefed and motivated to complete each element of the project, and that appropriate quality standards and thresholds are met and adhered to. I am also involved in disseminating the best practice from the various projects within the VENN Group and, under the direction of the DfE, across the sector.

The moderation work completed was of a very high standard. Communication was good and frequent. Advice was regularly sought regarding any issues or with any‘problem’ centres. Any guidance given was strictly adhered to and followed. Administration was exemplary . Administration was exemplary with all samples arriving on time. The feedback to centres provided detailed commentaries on the quality of work as well as useful suggestions for improvement. Samples were moderated effectively and there was always close concurrence with the assessment of the work and the Principal Moderator’s assessment.

Standards Verifier for the BTEC Business suite of Pearson/Edexcel Programs. I assess the quality of a centre's work and check delivery plans, assignments and learner work against program criteria and guidance to assess that the National Standards have been met by the centre .I provide support to centres during the sampling process and produce targeted actions for centres where National Standards are not being upheld. I also work for Pearson in the capacity of a LIV and am responsible for ensuring BTEC centres meet qualification standards and report on these giving actions were necessary.Some recent feedback on my performance.You have upheld a high standard of work demonstrating an increased and thorough understanding of the application of standards. You have shown a confident and knowledgeable approach, showing a robust understanding of the CQR role. Your decisions have been accurately made within your DTR reports. You have identified weaknesses, inconsistencies or omissions in evidence submitted by Centres. This has been carried through with clear SMART recommendations. You have demonstrated effective administration and organisational skills throughout the season. You were pro-active in contacting Centres at the beginning of the process keeping in touch with them on a frequent basis where necessary. You sent polite reminders to Centres before key dates or when review evidence was required. Upon completion of DTR reports you used the standardized e-mail template to inform them of the outcome. You have reviewed dates on the Gateway, responding positively to my recommendations/requests when necessary. You have shown very good communication skills throughout the QMR process. Your communications with Centres have been conducted with a professional and courteous manner, indicating helpful and positive working relationships. Well done Kelly thank you for your hard work and efforts demonstrated this season.

Teacher and form tutor of a vertical house at Filey School.I have had previous responsibility at this school including Head of PSHCE and Head of Business Studies.During this time I rewrote the whole school curriculum and resources for KS3 Computing and was a teacher of KS4 Computing/Business Studies/ICT as well as KS3 computing.As part of my role at Filey School I was in the Ebor Teaching and Learning group which meant I developed and delivered CPD materials to other teachers and was involved in giving other teacher's positive support to develop their teaching.I also ran many successful Enterprise activities some of which turned into student's winning National Awards.
